Travelling by train or coach can be a cheap and easy option. You can buy a student rail card also known as a young persons' rail card (£28) if you are studying at INTO. It is valid for one year and gives you a 33% discount when you buy tickets.
The tickets are usually cheaper the further in advance you book. Exeter has three train stations: Exeter St Davids, Exeter Central and Exeter St Thomas. Exeter St Davids is the main station.

The two main coach companies that travel to major cities such as London and Birmingham are National Express and Megabus.
The bus station in Exeter is on Paris Street just off the main High Street.
